Swift Fox original artwork by Robert Bateman
   Swift Fox

In 1975, Elsa Canada supported the Swift Fox breeding facility, an endeavour started by Beryl and Miles Smeeton. Today, the CEC is managed by their daughter Clio Smeeton. Since 1998, the CEC has released 78 Swift Foxes in southern Alberta. As a result of the Canadian Swift Fox reintroduction program, an estimated 289 Swift Fox are believed to be occupying a small part of their historic range.
