The Burrowing Owl was declared endangered in 1995 with fewer than 1,000 pairs nesting in Canada. OPERATION BURROWING OWL (OBO) is a conservation program of Nature Saskatchewan. This program conserves nesting habitat and monitors the population through voluntary land-owner participation. For the last three years, ELSA has raised money for OBO to help stop the decline of this native of the prairie provinces.
